See the wonders of Jackson/Teton and Yellowstone areas during the winter, when snow sparkles against the mountains, streams and thermal features.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1 – Jackson

Today arrive in Jackson, gateway to Yellowstone and your winter adventures.  Transfer to your hotel and check in for a six-night stay.  The evening is free to explore Jackson on your own.

Day 2 – Gros Ventre Wildlife

Today will be a full day snowmobile excursion in the Gros Ventre Mountains.  The Gros Ventre Mountain Range (pronounced groh-vahnt) is part of the Central Rocky Mountains and is located west of the Continental Divide in Wyoming.  Take a relaxing ride on a groomed trail through a winter wildlife sanctuary. Elk, deer, moose, bighorn sheep, eagles, and wolves are animals you could possible see.  The Gros Ventre Valley is considered a critical winter game range, so no off-trail snowmobile riding is permitted.  Enjoy lunch at a private property in the back country.  This will truly be a day to remember.  Return to Jackson with the rest of the day free to explore the many restaurants, shops and art galleries on your own.

Day 3 – Yellowstone by Snowmobile (or Snowcoach)

This is your day to discover Yellowstone National Park, America's oldest and most famous national park, via snowmobile or snowcoach, the choice is yours.  The heated snowcoaches provide a clear view, moving easily across the snow while listening to the insights of an experienced Yellowstone guide.  If you choose to travel by snowmobile, you will be outfitted with all the necessary gear, given riding instructions and a profession guide will lead you on a day of adventure.  Visit some of the landmarks for which Yellowstone is famous including Moos Falls, Lewis Canyon, Lewis Falls, West Thumb Geyser Basin and the world's most famous geyser, Old Faithful.  There will be plenty of time to witness Old Faithful's dramatic display, enjoy an included lunch and explore the area.  In the afternoon, enjoy a return trip to Jackson with additional picture stops along the way.  Arrive in Jackson with the evening free on own.

Day 4 – Jackson

Today is a free day in Jackson to pursue what interests you most.  Jackson offers a wide variety of optional tours and activities including snowmobile tours, cross country and downhill skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding and more.  You may even want to visit the National Elk Refuge, winter home for thousands of these majestic animals.  Get a close-up view as you take a horse drawn sleigh ride right into the massive heard on the Elk Refuge.  Whatever you choose, it is sure to be a great day in this winter wonderland.

Day 5 – Togwotee High Mountain

Enjoy one more day on the trail as you explore the Continental Divide Trail System on your way to historic Brooks Lake Lodge.  Hidden away in Wyoming's Rocky Mountains, Brooks Lake Lodge is not far from Yellowstone National Park set on the shores of Brooks Lake under the towering Breccia Cliffs and Pinnacle Buttes. In the winter, snowmobiling is the only way to get to this secluded gem at 9200 feet, where gourmet food, some of the best powder riding in the world, and magnificent scenery rule the day! This tour is ideal for anyone from first time riders to hard-core powder hounds.  What a fantastic way to conclude your snowmobiling experience!  After returning to Jackson, the evening is free on own.

Day 6 – Journey Home

Transfer to the Jackson Airport for your departure home.  As you travel home, remember all the wonderful memories and friends you have met on your fabulous Winter Vacation!

Please Note - *This tour requires participants to be in good health, able to climb stairs and walk reasonable distances including uneven ground, unpaved trails as well as on snow and ice.  This is a winter tour, please come prepared for cold weather.  Touring and overnights on this tour are in locations of higher altitudes including touring above 8,000 ft and overnight locations above 6,000 ft.

  • Boots, helmet, one-piece suit, gloves, balaclava
  • Equipment Needed:  Layers, thermals, ski gloves, hat, sunglasses
  • Drivers must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license
  • This tour is recommended for children 12 and older
  • Bad Weather Policy: Snowmobile tours are subject to change due to weather and snow conditions
