Bryce Canyon, Great Basin, & Zion National Parks

Named after the vast physiographic region covering most of Nevada and half of Utah, Great Basin National Park sits as the centerpiece of that entire region. Along with one of the best underground caverns in the Southwest to walk through, the rugged mountains of Great Basin National Park is home to Nevada’s only glacier and some of the oldest trees on Earth.

Since not many people visit Great Basin National Park, you won’t feel the constraints of over-visitation experienced in other national parks. The views of the desert basins from atop the mountains here are breathtaking!
