White Pocket in Arizona

Our tours to White Pocket last a full day and include other places of interest to photographers in the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. White Pocket is a world-class destination for photographers and an amazing place to visit for people of all ages, ability, and interests. It is a long 4×4 road to get there, but once there, relatively easy to hike. Hidden wonders are to be discovered around every bend. Swirls of color, hexagonal polygons, billowing white peaks, and hidden wave-like canyons, all offer exploration. After rains, water pockets called tinajas hold precious water for wildlife and aquatic species specially adapted to these desert environments, and also provide precious drinking water for wildlife and spectacular reflection shots for photographers. Water pockets have drawn wildlife and ancient Anasazi people to the site, attested to by petroglyphs depicting a hunting scene.
