Alaska's Northern Lights Adventure Tour
- Denali National Park, Alaska
- Small group, 2β14

Southwest Adventure Tours takes explorers on a 10-day all-inclusive tour through Alaska. See the itinerary that includes the sites and cities of Anchorage, Homer, Katmai, Seward, Denali, Mt. McKinley, Denali National Park, Talkeetna River, Kachemak Bay State Park, glaciers, and wildlife, such as salmon and beluga whales.
Denali is six million acres of wild land, bisected by one ribbon of road. Travelers along it see the relatively low-elevation forest and tundra that gives way to high alpine tundra and snowy mountains, culminating in North America's tallest peak, 20,310' Denali.
No trip to Alaska isnβt complete with visiting Denali National Park and Preserve. Our tours that include Denali will certainly see an abundance of wildlife while on the national park operated bus tour of 92-mile-long Denali Park Road.

Denali is six million acres served by a single ninety-two-mile road, and private vehicles may only drive the first fifteen miles of it, to the Savage River. Everything beyond that is by park bus, which is the arrangement that keeps the wildlife visible from the road.
The road has been cut short since a landslide at Pretty Rocks, and access has been limited to roughly the first forty-three miles while a bridge is built across it. The reopening date has moved more than once β confirm how far the road is running for the season you are travelling.
The mountain itself is 20,310 feet, the highest in North America, and it makes its own weather. It is fully visible on something like a third of summer days, which is worth knowing before a trip is planned around seeing it.
The season is short: roughly late May to mid-September, with almost no darkness at the height of it and the tundra turning red in the last two weeks of August.
