“We took the half day tour to Antelope Island on the Great Salt Lake. This was a great trip- we only had one chance to get out and see the natural beauty around SLC during our visit. I’m glad we chose this tour. Our guide Blake was knowledgeable not just about the city but about the wild life, plants and geology of the region. He was able to pick out animals for photo opportunities and made sure we saw the best views in the park. “We have just come back from the Mighty Five tour. This was a fantastic trip that exceeded our expectations. The places we toured along with our meals and accommodations were top notch. He never pushed us farther than we could reasonably do but urged us on to at least try. Hiking the Hoodoos was phenomenal! “We got back last week from our Mighty Five tour out of Salt Lake City. It was one of the best vacations and tours I have ever taken. I have been on large tours g now the smaller tour and much prefer the smaller tour atmosphere. Matt was our guide and he was phenomenal. He was very patient with people who weren't experienced hikers and made sure everybody had a great time no matter what their level was. He helped people to go beyond what they thought they could ever do and have a great time doing it. Matt did a great job at reading every one in the group and making adjustments so we can all have the best experience. He was always making sure that everybody had ample water and kept reminding us to keep hydrating at the higher elevations while hiking . The hotels that were provided at all our stays were great with beautiful views all around. The food for breakfast and lunches and the two dinners that were provided were all excellent and plentiful. The activities that were planned everyday were fantastic. We did a couple hikes/walks per day. Some were easy and some a little tougher but all enjoyable. The scenery all around us was breathtaking! We were never traveling for more than 2 hours at a time and took many breaks along the way to see sites or have lunch. The tour was more than we could have ever expected it would be. It is a top-notch tour company and I highly recommend taking this tour and request Matt for your tour guide and you'll have the best time ever!! Looking forward to our next adventure that we definitely will be doing with southwestern adventure tours.”

“We did a 5 day trip called the Mighty Five Las Vegas tour of the National Parks in Utah and loved it. The benefits include a knowledgeable tour guide, no driving, best stops, side excursions, best restaurants and pit stops along way. One awesome benefit was no check-in at hotels, places were ready to receive tour group and immediately hand out room cards. The parks cover a vast area of state so knowing where to go is worth the extra cost for the guide. The pleasure of trip is also enhanced by the group experience and making new friends. Best park of a tour out of Las Vegas is catching a show at the sphere after we returned.”

“We did the Mighty Five Utah National Parks from Las Vegas , this was an amazing tour and our guide Barb was excellent, she was knowledgeable and made the long rides easy with her ability to navigate and communicate, the Sprinter van was always clean , a cooler with bottles of iced water everyday , she took us on some great hikes in all the parks and we were able to see all the highlights of the mighty Five. Bryce and Arches were the 2 highlights of the trip , one morning we rose early to watch the sunrise in Bryce and illuminate and magically color the hoodoo’s I highly recommend this trip for anyone who wants to visit the parks and not want to drive themselves and do the planning , we had a great group of 11 travelers from various places, the hotels we stayed at were nice too I did research before booking this company and I didn’t want to travel in a large bus with a large group also , I cannot compliment them enough on their service and performance”

“On this, my 3rd SWAT tour, we spent 10 days in some of the most spectacular scenery in the West with one truly exceptional guide. Our tour took us through Zion, Monument Valley, Mesa Verde, Antelope Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon among many other incredible places. For instance, my favorite of all of these places was Dead Horse Point State Park, which I had never hear of before, but was NOT TO BE MISSED! Monument Valley gave us a picture of the iconic West, used in many movie scenes. Antelope Canyon gave us otherworldly beauty. Zion gave us grand formations and Bryce gave us hoodoos by the thousands (very different from the comical hoodoos at Goblin Valley State Park, which should also not be missed!). Even Capitol Reef, a less well-known park, knocks your socks off! Almost every new site evoked a, "WOW!" from our group. So, the national parks provided the scenery, but our Guide, Pierre Beney, provided the magic! He somehow managed to wrangle 10 wandering tourists, arrange accomodations, ensure our van was comfortable, solve problems, and point out things we never would have noticed. He was incredibly knowledgeable about geology, history, and culture without ever sounding like he was giving a lecture. He knew when to give us backstory and when to let nature take center stage. His enthusiasm was contagious, his patience impressive, and his sense of humor was an added bonus. He actually made it seem less like a tour group and more like a bunch of friends travelling together. Both the tour and Pierre deserve 5 stars or more!!”

Request her as your guide. They need to change some of the iternary! They need to add one more day to death valley and switch the palm springs tram ride to the 2nd or 3rd day not the first day! We felt rushed with getting off the plane and had 15 minutes to check in, change clothes and leave right away!”

“I recently did a tour of National Glacier Park and it was an incredible experience. Our driver Wynn was one of the highlights of the trip. Besides getting us everywhere safely, he shared stories with us of his adventures. We saw so much wildlife including black bears, elk, deer, bison, and a grizzly! I know that's not guaranteed every tour and the scenery alone was worth it. The accommodations were comfortable with modern amenities whenever possible. “Recently took our first trip with Southwest Adventure Tours to follow the Trail of the Ancients in the Four Corners area of the Southwest. Wow - what a fabulous trip! The guide Robin Luse, was not only a walking encyclopedia of knowledge, but his ability to cheerfully accommodate the needs of a diverse group of 10 guests was superb. The tour bus was luxurious, the hotels comfortable with good breakfasts. Our stops were amazing - the tour was set up to tell the story of the Ancient Peoples of this area and show you where they are today by taking you to meet and talk with them. Highlights were too many to mention but our favorites were Chaco Canyon, Mesa Verde, Monument Valley and Bandelier NP. A cozy private dinner hosted by a a native family in the Zuni pueblo was also a highlight. The cost of the tour was very reasonable as well. “Best day of my life (took their Antelope Park Dark Sky tour and Bonneville Salt Flats tour on same day) all thanks to Southwest tours, who were so friendly in their execution. Right from perfect online booking experience, pre-trip coordination to the most amazing tour, don't even think twice and be rest assured of a fab time. Tour guide felt more like a friend and professional photographer (very important if you are a solo traveler who loves clicking pics :D ) and shared so many interesting info about Great Salt Lake, Utah and Salt Flats. Tour was not hurried and sufficient time at each pit stop. Salt Flats is a must visit unique experience. We have one in India, but Bonneville was magnificent. Entire tour was super scenic and amazing transport, pick up/drop. Loved it! Go for it! And then the brilliance of night sky! Getting a pic with comet (truly once in a lifetime experience), to seeing moonrise from horizon, spotting falling stars, satellites, planets, constellation and seeing beautiful moon craters, what an incredible experience. Don't miss out on this! and as usual Southwest team was fabulous! Despite just 3 of us on the tour, they went ahead with it, and gave us the most memorable experience.”

“David is the best tour guide for utah. He is extremely knowledgeable about Utah’s history, land marks, local plants, local flowers and local birds. He speaks several languages. He accommodated the climb to 11000 feet to my hiking skills so that I did not feel any elevation dizziness. I highly recommend David for the snowbird excursion.”

“I hired SAT for my trip to Zion and Bryce Canyons. We had a great tour. The driver picked us up on time at 7am and dropped us off at 7pm. The tour guide was knowledgeable and professional. We went places we may not have gone to without the guide so I felt like we got our money worth! IT also included a nice lunch a a decent restaurant! The vehicle we traveled in was roomy and very comfortable. We were able to charge cell phones in the van with many plugs. This was important bc we were in the vehicle for a few hours.
