Guide
Jack Tingey
I grew up all over the United States, and lived in both Canada and the UK. My passion is history, and that inspires me to connect with guests on their backgrounds and interests, which helps me tailor the tour to their desires.
My favorite part of a tour is when guests discover something unexpected and intriguing.
Why I love being a guide
I love to be able to share the wonderful history and culture of Utah with guests. Utah is a very underrated state, and I want to help guests enjoy Utah as much as I do!
My guiding style
My guiding style is based on flexibility, energy, accessibility, education, and connection. My primary goal is to ensure the best experience possible for the guests.
Favorite places
My favorite National Park is Capitol Reef, but I absolutely love exploring the mining and rail history of Park City and the other towns of the Silver Belt.
Fun facts
- I enjoy cooking, LEGO, cutting hair, and spending time with my wife and cats.
- My favorite outdoor activity is a nice light hike with outdoor vistas.
- I have a weird "superpower" where I metabolize anesthetic very quickly. It makes getting a filling at the dentist much more, ahem, interesting.
