Guide
Tanja Damha
I reside in Los Angeles. I also lived in Europe and in Africa. I’m a lover of traveling, books, great food and nature. I’m a published author. I love people and traveling so being a tour guide is a natural fit. I love showing people inspiring places that we’re lucky to have in the United States.
When someone experiences a life-changing moment and builds wonderful memories by visiting one of the National Parks or other places we take them to.
Why I love being a guide
I enjoy Southwest Adventure Tours because their tours are just complete. The guests get an itinerary that was made with passion. So for me to guide with SWAT is a treat. We visit cool places, stay in comfortable hotels and visit restaurants I love. It is like being a kid in a candy store.
My guiding style
Caring, flexible, great listener, enthusiastic and kind. Come and find out :)
Favorite places
Can’t choose a favorite because all the National Parks have their charm. But I keep coming back to Bryce Canyon. Bryce Canyon isn’t the biggest park but has a color palette that makes you say wow at least ten times in an hour. The colors change every hour. It is just a magical place where you can hike, be in awe and get inspired by the hoodoos.
Fun facts
I run but I’m extremely slow. I ran my first Marathon in Athens, Greece and was one of the last ones but I finished it. I love to eat great food. I’m originally Moroccan and we have 8 course meals :)
