Guide
Kim Palmer
I grew up in a very adventurous family in Denver Colorado. As kids, we skied, hiked and boated as much as we could. My Dad was a geologist, so we were always trudging up some rocky hillside looking for treasures. As an adult, I still love to do all these things! Guiding is a natural extension of all these experiences. Only now I get to share it with lots of fun, new people!
My favorite part of any day is helping my guests experience something they have never seen before. It’s magic!
Why I love being a guide
My favorite part of guiding is the people I get to meet. I have met so many wonderful people that I now call friends.
My guiding style
Guests traveling with me can expect to be wowed by the beauty of our surroundings, to laugh, to make new friends, and to learn about all the wonderful things we are seeing and doing. By the end of the trip we will feel more like family than the strangers we were when the trip began.
Favorite places
I have always loved the desert southwest. I’ve been exploring the mesas and canyons since I was a little girl. One of my favorite places is Escalante Utah. The town, the canyons, and the river make it very special. Added to that is the wonderful Native American history we get to share there. Come join me on our Canyons of the Escalante hiking tour!
Fun facts
I’m an avid skier, hiker and mountain biker. I love all outdoor activities. In November, 2025 I trekked to Everest Base Camp in Nepal!
