Calf Creek Falls Hike

Lower Calf Creek Falls is located in the northern part of the Grand Staircase-Escalante Monument between Boulder, Utah and Escalante, Utah. It is in the back of a beautiful sandstone canyon with beaver dams, ancient ruins, and lush vegetation. This 5.5-mile round trip hike isn't strenuous, but in the middle of the summer, it can get hot. Calf Creek runs year-round, making this hike enjoyable in every season of the year.

Upper Calf Creek is accessible by a 1-mile into a deep canyon. It is not for the faint of heart, but well worth the visit. Both hikes can be accomplished in one full day.
