This morning we depart at 8:00 am for our first destination, Zion National Park. As we enter this beautiful canyon you will be amazed at the 3,000 ft towering cliffs painted in deep reds, creams, and whites. We will spend the day touring the canyon. Hiking in the Virgin River Narrows, exploring the Weeping Wall, Emerald Pools, or East Canyon Overlook are all excellent ways to explore the area.
Late in the afternoon, we depart to Cedar City, Utah for the night. We will enjoy dinner and then attend a show at the Shakespeare Festival. Shows start at 8:00pm. This world class festival offers a wide selection of old and new plays to choose from.
This morning after a delicious breakfast we travel up Scenic Route 14 and enjoy the grand vista overlooking Zion National Park. We continue past high alpine meadows as we enter Red Canyon and get our first glimpse of the unique rock formations, known as hoodoos. We then enter Bryce Canyon National Park for a wonderful day full of grand vistas as we explore the different amphitheaters within this park. We will stop at Sunrise, Sunset, Bryce, and Fairyland points before we break for our picnic lunch at Rainbow and Yovimpa Points.
Afterwards, we will travel back to Cedar City to get refreshed before departing to St. George for a wonderful evening at Tuacahn Amphitheatre. We will enjoy dinner at Ancestor Square. We will then arrive at Tuacahn for an evening show. This amphitheater offers one of the best acoustical environments for outdoor shows in the world. Shows begin at 7:00pm and there is a second performance at 8:45 pm. After a wonderful performance we return to Cedar City for the evening.
After a lazy late morning we depart for our return trip home. We will enjoy a lunch before ending our adventure together.
