Itinerary:

  • We depart at 8:00 am for Great Basin National Park. We arrive around lunchtime and enjoy a wonderful meal before our tour of Lehman Caves. We will enjoy the Grand Palace Tour. This 90-minute tour is .5 miles long and offers a unique glimpse at some very rare formations, called shields. We will also see cave popcorn, flowstone, and other formations inside.

After the cave tour, we travel up the Wheeler Peak Scenic Drive to the Wheeler Peak Campground. We can enjoy the Alpine Lakes Loop trail, or the Bristlecone and Glacier Trail. Each one offers wonderful vistas of the surrounding landscape and excellent photographic stops. Bristlecone Pines are some of the oldest trees in the world. We will pass through a grove of these ancient trees on this hike.

We will enjoy dinner in Baker, NV, and then travel to Milford to lodge for the night.

    Lunch Included.

  • After breakfast we travel from Milford to Cedar Breaks National Park. As we drive up Scenic Byway 14 we catch glimpses of this beautiful natural amphitheater and also wonderful overlooks of Zion National Park. We will enjoy a wonderful drive along the ridgeline, stopping at a few overlooks. We will then continue to the town of Panguitch for lunch at one of their local cafes. We then transfer through majestic Red Canyon to Bryce Canyon National Park.

Here we enjoy a wonderful afternoon visiting the main viewpoints in the park. We offer hikes on the Queen's Garden-Navajo Loop trail and to Mossy Cave. Each offers great opportunities to immerse yourselves into this unique land covered with multi-colored hoodoos, arches, and windows. We will enjoy dinner at the Bryce Canyon Lodge and retire for the evening at one of the nearby hotels.

    Breakfast & Lunch Included.

  • We recommend waking up with the sun and watching it paint the main amphitheater of Bryce Canyon with its rays. This is one of the most beautiful sights we love to enjoy in this enchanted land. After breakfast we depart for Zion National Park. As we enter Zion at the east gate, the contrast between the limestone formations of Bryce and the sandstone formations of Zion could not be more apparent. Here we will see the individual layers of sandstone layered on in unique patterns. We have the option of hiking East Canyon Overlook before descending into the main canyon of Zion for lunch and further exploration.

We traverse the Zion Tunnel and descend more than 2,000 feet to the canyon floor. Surrounding this canyon are majestic 3,000 feet cliffs of sandstone. The canyon offers us many opportunities to explore its recesses. Virgin River Narrows, Weeping Wall, Canyon Overlook, Emerald Pools, and other trails throughout the park await. In the evening we retire to our hotel in Springdale for dinner and lodging. Sunset in the canyon is always a beautiful experience.

    Breakfast & Lunch Included.

  • Spend the morning visiting more of Capitol Reef with stops at Cohab Canyon, Cassidy Arch, Chimney Rock, or Sulphur Creek, before continuing over Scenic Highway 12 through the Grand Staircase-Escalante Monument.  This will include a short drive down the Burr Trail to one of our small surprises for you before continuing on through to the Escalante River, Hogs Back, Calf Creek, and other scenic viewpoints along the way.  Afterwards, we continue our journey to Bryce Canyon National Park for a short hike to Mossy Cave. Once you are finished there, you will enjoy some good 'ol fashioned western hospitality at Ruby’s Inn.
